Boston's 2012 James Beard Awards Finalists

The James Beard Foundation has whittled down its list of semifinalists and has just announced the final nominees for the 2012 James Beard Awards. Boston had a healthy showing among the semifinalists, and a handful of local chefs and establishments have now made it to the next round. The winners of each category will be announced on Monday, May 7, 2012. Among them we might see...

· Ming Tsai's Simply Ming, for Television Program, In Studio or Fixed Location.
· Jamie Bissonnette of Coppa AND Tim Cushman of O Ya, for Best Chef: Northeast.
· Joanne Chang of Flour Bakery + Café, for Outstanding Pastry Chef.
