Today the Espresso Royale Caffe near Northeastern will begin undergoing renovations, and when the dust clears, it will be a Pavement Coffeehouse. That news comes from a Facebook post which also says that both cafes are owned by the same entity. Boston Restaurant Talk notes that the new Pavement will be joining the existing one on Boylston and that Espresso Royale Caffe locations will remain on Newbury Street and near BU. (These are unaffiliated with Espresso Royale, which has locations in five states and which used to own the local spots.) The location in transition promises photo and menu updates via Facebook, and if it's anything like its counterpart, the new cafe will also serve Counter Culture Coffee and source locally made pastries.
