A story in the Phoenix confirms that the Davis Square Theater will soon become a live music venue complete with a full bar and a license to serve drinks till 1am. The space that was formerly Jimmy Tingle's Off Broadway Theater is located beneath Foundry on Elm and has already featured plays as well as the Boston Comedy Festival and has four bands lined up but is looking for more. A new show called Blood Rose Rising includes food and drink and a pop-up nightclub atmosphere. Tagline: "Ghosts. Music. Drinking. Murder. What could be more fun?" The theater's debut as a music venue is just around the corner (one the sound system is finished) and will be hosted by a member of the band MOUNT PERU.
