Earlier this week Eater reported that Swish Shabu was planning to join the newly reopened Rod Dee Thai Cuisine II, El Pelon and Thornton's Fenway Grille in Fenway's Restaurant Row. Now Thrillist reports that Swish Shabu will be opening this Monday. Boston Restaurant Talk notes that unlike the other three, Swish Shabu is not bouncing back from the fire that consumed the others along with Sorento’s Italian Gourmet, Umi Japanese Restaurant, and Greek Isles Restaurant in January 2009. As the name implies, Swish Shabu features hotpots that let diners stew (their dinner) in their own juices, so to speak. Sushi is also on the menu, and Thrillist says that among the standard hotpot items you'll also find ostrich. How the ostrich fits in the hot pot is beyond us.
