Davis Square is indeed getting the wine bar that was announced last year, says the Boston Business Journal, which reports that construction will begin within a month on the yet-unnamed establishment. The bar is a collaboration between the owner of Dave's Fresh Pasta, whose name really is Dave, and the store's wine buyer, whose name is not Dave. As of now they're hoping for a summer opening, at which point they plant to offer tapas as well as beer and cocktails in the space that was Black & Blues, a women's clothing shop. Why the delay? The first bid for a liquor license wasn't granted. On February 22nd, they got one. So maybe they'll call the place "FEB 22."
