McDonald's by Faneuil Hall to Close Next Month

According to an article in today's Globe, a new TD Bank location will be replacing the McDonald’s on Union St. near Faneuil Hall. The fast-food restaurant plans to close in March. Fear not McDonald's lovers, there's about 20 more where that one came from in the Boston area alone. The same article suggests trouble for the nearby Purple Shamrock, whose lease is up in September and whose landlord is raising the rent by 60 percent. "Which it can’t afford," says the Globe.
