"It's official" says Globe restaurant critic Devra First. "East Coast Grill owner Chris Schlesinger is selling the restaurant." Rumors of the sale have been circulating since the start of the year, and as suspected, executive chef Jason Herd, general manager Robin Greenspan and former line cook James Lozano will be taking over with the changes going into full effect this spring. Wicked Local notes that Schlesinger has sold other restaurants before, including All Star Sandwich Bar and The Blue Room. What will the Grill be like under its new owners? "The new team will keep on grilling, barbecuing, shucking, and setting people's faces on fire at Hell Night events," says First.
