Stadium Sports Bar & Grill to Replace McFadden's

Stadium Sports Bar & Grill is indeed going to replace McFadden's Restaurant And Saloon on State Street near Faneuil Hall, says the Herald. UniversalHUB previously reported that the change was in the works, and while the new venue is still awaiting final confirmation from the city, the Herald declares that the company's "fourth sports bar will be at 148 State St." and quotes a confident commission member saying "It's really just a housekeeping matter." Other Stadiums are already in operation in South Boston, Quincy and Waltham, and even more are in the works for Lynn and Worcester. Trading one sports bar for another isn't the biggest of switcheroos, but the move does point to Stadium becoming a bigger player in an already crowded market, and at a huge, downtown venue, no less.
