Spike's Junkyard Dogs Makes Way for Burro Bar

When The Painted Burro of Davis Square announced its plans to open a new affiliate called Burro Bar in the space that currently housed Spike's Junkyard Dogs, it was obvious that this location of Spike's wasn't long for this world. And so, in turn, Boston Restaurant Talk reports that Spike's is now closed. BRT says the hotdog dispensary doled out its last sandwich of iconic, tubular meat on Friday, November 30. There's no word yet as to whether Spike's will relocate, though other locations remain in Allston, on Boylston, and elsewhere in Massachusetts, Connecticut, and Rhode Island. The dog is gone; stay tuned for news of the next beast.
