Confirmed: Tatte Bakery & Café Is Expanding Again

Tatte Bakery & Café has gone from selling its fairy tale baked goods at farmers markets to having a bakery and cafe in Brookline, to having two bakeries and cafes, to having two bakeries and cafes and a deal with Williams-Sonoma, to thinking about opening yet another location. And now Tatte Bakery & Café is indeed opening that third location: per a Craigslist job posting, Tatte is opening again in Kendall Square, not far from its second location on Third Street, that will include some degree of retail activity. Owner Tzurit Or previously told Eater that there was "a very good chance" she would turn a Broadway production space she added to meet growing demands into another retail space, and the odds appear to have been in her favor. Is this the end, or will Tatte grow even bigger, now that Williams-Sonoma customers around the country are familiar with the goods? Stay tuned.
