Marco Cucina Romana on Hanover in the North End is closing, as reported yesterday, and the Boston Hospitality and Tourism Industry Blog learns that a new restaurant called Aria Trattoria will be taking its place. Last month NorthEndWaterfront.com shared news of a license transfer from Marco to the new restaurant and names Massimo Tiberi, the former general manager of the nearby Tresca, as the owner. In a video of the license meeting, the attorney for Aria Trattoria says there will be no major changes to the space, which is located above Caffé Paradiso, the restaurant will indeed serve Italian food - if you couldn't guess - the occupancy of the space is 48 and that a license to operate until 12am will transfer over. The Boston Hospitality and Tourism Industry Blog also notes that a January opening is likely based on an ad in Scene Magazine.
