After promises of a summer arrival, WiCH!T is finally open on Newbury Street, the latest addition to the recent sandwich invasion that began with Potbelly Sandwich Shop and Firehouse Subs in September, followed by Earl of Sandwich in November. WiCH!T used to exist out in Lawrence before closing up shop to focus on opening the Boston location. The new shop's Twitter page promises "the most yummy, the most original, the most incredible sandwiches humanly possible." There are soups as well, such as Thai chicken curry, corn chowder, and carrot ginger.
WiCH!T just opened on Saturday, and a couple of diners have already left reviews on the restaurant's Facebook page; while one hopes that "opening jitters" accounted for a disappointing Reuben, the other praises the Carnegie (pastrami and sauerkraut), the Stonemill (roast beef and caramelized onions), and the Tuna Maki.
