SOUTH END - Last summer the South End Buttery expanded next door to create the South End Buttery Market, and now a separate, to-go only location has opened nearby and Clarendon Street and Gray Street. We Love Beantown noticed the announcement on the restaurant's Facebook page earlier today. [Facebook via WLB]
CAMBRIDGE/BACK BAY - Serious Eats asks a bunch of chefs whether they prefer ham or roast beef on a holiday table. Most say neither. Tony Maws of Craigie on Main says brisket, Ken Oringer of Clio and more says steaks cooked in his fireplace (oh, and oysters and foie gras). [SE]
SOUTH END - Happy birthday to Ken Oringer and Jamie Bissonnette's Toro, the tapas hotspot which turns seven today. Since it first opened, Toro has dominated the scene from its supremely popular perch on Washington Street. Next stop: New York City. [EBOS]
