Boston's First Upscale Greek Headed for Mantra Space?

New, 2 comments
Photo: Yelp/Mantra

The French-Indian hybrid Mantra shut down earlier this year in Downtown Crossing, and now a new restaurant may be moving into its space, bringing a hereto unrepresented option to the local dining scene. An Eater tipster reports that a venue from a New York City chef is bound for 52 Temple Place and will serve high end Greek cuisine, something currently unavailable in these parts. This street is also home to restaurant and bar jm Curley, one of the most popular additions of 2011, and may be getting another restaurant somewhere between 37 to 43 Temple Place, as previously reported. Share your guesses as to which chef will come to this neighborhood next in the comments, stay tuned for confirmation of the rumored Mantra replacement, and drop any intel of your own via the tipline.
