Florida-based sandwich chain Earl of Sandwich will be opening a new shop in the historic and long vacant "Pink Palace" structure on Boston Common on this coming Monday, November 12. According to a press release, the new location will serve wraps, salads, soups, baked goods like cookies, brownies and muffins and will feature a kids' menu. Fourteen sandwiches will be on the menu, each going for $6.99, and the store will be open from 11am to 4pm seven days a week. The historic structure, once a bathroom, has been empty since the 1970's and required $1 million in renovations. There are 22 other Earl of Sandwich locations in various states, including one at Logan, and the company may open four or five more in the area.
