Professional very famous chef Geoffrey Zakarian is involved with a new project coming to the Seaport District according to an industry source who is partnering with Zakarian. While he's been seen in households across America on shows like Chopped and The Next Iron Chef, which he won, Zakarian is not exactly a household name in Boston, so here's some background. He started his career at the fabled Le Cirque in Midtown Manhattan and went on to open several restaurants, some of which have since closed. According to his official website, Zakarian now runs The Lambs Club and The National Bar & Dining Rooms in New York City, The Water Club in New Jersey and is working on Ocean Blue, a restaurant bound for Norwegian Cruise Line. The new Boston venue will be similar to The National in NYC "with more energy" and "great food, good beers, great craft cocktails" says our source. Stay tuned for updates.
