Construction appears to be nearly complete at Giulia, the pasta-focused Italian restaurant originally slated to open last month in the old Rafiki Bistro space between Harvard Square and Porter Square. The windows are currently papered over, and there's a tarp over the exterior signage, but a note on the door reads, "We look forward to meeting you," signed Mike and Pam. "Mike" is Via Matta alum Michael Pagliarini - Pam is his wife - and their 70-seat restaurant could seriously be heaven for pasta lovers. Chowder reports that a table will be reserved for pasta-making by day, and by night, it will become a chef's table. Boston-based design firm Studio FKIA is working on the space, according to building permits in the window.
