Evelyn & Angel's Candy Shop Opens Tantalizingly Soon

The stretch of Mass. Ave. between Porter and Harvard is getting a lot more delicious this month. Via Matta alum Michael Pagliarini will be opening pasta-focused Giulia any day now in the old Rafiki Bistro space, and just a few doors down, a candy shop is also on the verge of opening.

The sign went up nearly a year ago, but it looks like Evelyn and Angel's Candy Shop will finally open its doors. In late September, owner Yalonda Howze told Cambridge Day that the opening would be in early November at the latest. All's been quiet on the candy front until just a few days ago, when a page for the shop popped up on Facebook. According to the sign that has been taunting neighbors all year, the shop will offer assorted candies, roasted nuts, chocolates, and even a soda fountain.
