CAMBRIDGE - The upcoming pasta-centric Italian restaurant Giulia from Via Matta alum Michael Pagliarini plans to open this coming week, says Grub Street. "Expect free-flowing pasta starting on December 3 or shortly thereafter." [GS]
DORCHESTER - Bully Boy Distillers is now old enough to unveil its first aged spirit: American Straight Whiskey. The new/old whiskey is made with corn, rye and malted barley and was aged in new American oak. [Official Site]
THEATER DISTRICT - For the record, Pigalle chef Marc Orfaly did not appear on the Phantom Gourmet radio show earlier today. The hosts claim that Orfaly declined after being advised not to talk about his Facebook battle with a patron named Sandy who, to much attention from the internet, took issue with his pumpkin pie. Sandy did appear on the show, as did references to the first things that ever made the Andelman brothers horny. [Newstalk 96.9]
