Drink The Farmer at Rialto

Photo: Courtesy of Rialto

Once you've had your fill of Tom Plum's Blues at Church, it's time to move onto Rialto. The Harvard Square restaurant is featuring a drink called The Farmer. Nope, that's not a reference to the harvest; it's actually named for Dr. Paul Farmer in honor of his work with Partners in Health. The organization turns 25 this year. Beer gets mostly ignored during Cocktail Week, but it gets its moment in the spotlight in this beer-based cocktail. The Farmer is made with Prestige lager, Amaro Montenegro, lime and grapefruit juices, and whiskey barrel-aged bitters.
