For Cocktail Week, Eater reached out to some local restaurant industry folks to see where they like to get their drink on when their shift ends. Here's what Jason Kilgore, beverage manager at Catalyst, had to say:
For my favorite cocktail after work, I try to head over to Deep Ellum in Allston whenever I can. And if they get their license extension, I'll probaby be there more. There's two cocktails there that really do it for me. Over the summer it was the Bohanon- a gin, chartreuse and pepper cocktail that's stiff and refreshing - and as it gets colder my old standby, a Toronto. I'm not cool enough to drink Fernet on its own, and the mix of Fernet and bitters with whiskey is just fantastic.Lucky for Jason, Deep Ellum (and sister/neighbor Lone Star Taco Bar) did in fact get the license extension.
