The seasonal Charlestown restaurant Tavern on the Water, a popular destination due to its striking views of the Boston skyline, has closed, according to Adam's Hospitality & Tourism Industry Blog. A message on the restaurant's website confirms the news, stating: "Unfortunately, The Tavern On The Water has closed. We are happy to serve you right around the corner at our Max And Dylans CitySquare location, or any of our other fine restaurants." The owners, Legendary Restaurant Group, also run Sip Wine Bar + Kitchen, Papagayo, and the just-opened Burger Dive, among other restaurants. A representative tells Grub Street Boston that "they decided not to resign the lease but rather focus on the core group of brands they are expanding."
