CAMBRIDGE - A traveling "soup boutique" from Hood is driving around Cambridge and Boston all week, handing out free soup, featuring recipes made by local chefs. The truck will be in front of Grafton Street in Harvard Square tomorrow from 11 AM until 2 PM, giving out samples of a soup created by Grafton Street's Executive Chef Eric Gregory. For each soup given out, Hood will donated $1 to the Greater Boston Food Bank. [Official Source]
SEAPORT DISTRICT - Relative newcomer 75 on Liberty Wharf has just added weekend brunch to its repertoire, complete with a DIY bloody mary bar. Also on the menu: a Belgian waffle with caramelized bananas and bacon, raspberry-stuffed French toast, and a traditional eggs benedict. Brunch is served from 11:30 AM to 3 PM on Saturdays and 10:30 AM to 3 PM on Sundays. [Official Source]
ALLSTON - A "high-end establishment with european/international atmosphere" called Garage Lounge is set to open in mid-December and is seeking a variety of employees, including go-go dancers, according to several Craigslist posts. The venue's Facebook page describes it as a "private supper club" with a Scotch bar, tapas, entertainment, and VIP tables. Apparently there is a "highly selective door" as well. [CL]
