Maximo's Takeout Closes in Watertown

After a period of temporary closure, Maximo's in Watertown appears to be gone for good. A Chowhound poster reports seeing "For Rent" signs in the window, the phone rang off the hook on multiple attempts, and a tipster who works in the area confirmed the permanent closure and said that some of the employees have moved over to Fastachi, the nearby gourmet nut shop. Maximo's Takeout served a variety of salads, sandwiches, burgers, and other dishes, many of which could be made vegetarian or gluten-free.
