Boston Chefs Team Up For Sandy Relief

Some of Boston's best known chefs - including Ken Oringer, Jamie Bissonnette, Ming Tsai, Tony Maws and Joanne Chang-Myers - are teaming up for a Red Cross fundraiser to help those feeling the effects of hurricane Sandy. According to a press release, the chefs will be serving a decadent meal including white truffles, oysters, foie gras and lobster to just 50 people. The minimum donation is $500 per person, with all money going to the Red Cross. The event is this Wednesday at Mike's City Diner in the South End: for reservations, email Jen at ToroRestaurant@gmail.com.

This is just one of many Sandy-focused food events around the country: if you know of more in the Boston area, send in any information via the tipline.

Update: You can now reserve a spot for the event here. [Official Site]
