After a lengthy dormancy, Mangia Neapolitan Pizza is once again open in the South End on Columbus Ave. An Eater reader reported the reopening, which was originally slated for November 1, via comment, and the company's Facebook page confirms that it went back into action on Tuesday of this week.
The Facebook page also provides a juicy teaser for a future opening in one of Boston's hottest restaurant neighborhoods: the South Boston Waterfront, aka the Innovation District, depending on exactly where Mangia lands. Says the Facebook post: "Mangia Restaurant Group is proud to announce another new location . South Boston here we come ! Southie by the water .......details coming soon." Once the company's current surge in openings is complete, it will have eleven locations scattered about Eastern Massachusetts and in Rhode Island, making Mangia an increasingly formidable presence in the local pizza scene. Stay tuned and hit up the tipline with any intel of your own.
