Chowhounders are rounding up a hilarious list of "suicide food" restaurant signage. "The premise," writes local critic MC Slim JB, who started the thread, "is a restaurant sign featuring a cartoon of an animal that the restaurant serves in some form, often in ways that suggest it is cooking and/or eating its own species, or loves the idea that it is about to become someone else's dinner." Examples include the now-defunct Fontaine's (of neon flapping chicken fame), Red-Eyed Pig in West Roxbury (a demonic pig), and Legal Sea Foods (a smiling fish on a plate). [CH]
