Daddy Jones Now Open

Somerville's Magoun Square will never be the same after 5pm tonight, November 1, when Daddy Jones officially opens its doors. Per the Daddy Jones website, reservations are not yet being accepted, "but you are more than welcome to pop in for a cocktail and a snack at our bar or one of our tables." Dishes at the 35-seat venue tend towards Greek, and Thrillist reports that some cocktails come "served in a frozen fruit vessel." Daddy Jones takes the place of former neighborhood favorite Lil Vinny's and features retro decor evocative of the 80's and 90's, as in lockers on the walls.
