Blaze Pizza could be coming to Boston thanks in part to Red Sox chairman Tom Werner, who has invested in the California chain, says the Herald. Blaze Pizza currently has two locations in California but "plans to franchise nationally including in Boston." Apparently what sets Blaze Pizza appart is its ability to crank out customer-specific pies in 120 seconds. If Chipotle comes to mind, that's intentional. Says one of the owners: "It's very similar to Chipotle in terms of speed of service with high-quality food." And that gives Werner an idea: "This place would do extremely well on Newbury Street."
