The planned Beacon Hill restaurant and bar called Carrie Nation would be a "whiskey lounge" serving American food with French influences, says UniversalHUB. UH also reports that the venue - which apparently takes its name from a Kentucky-born temperance activist with a penchant for smashing up bars with a hatchet - comes from the owners of the very nearby Scholar's, which is just on the other side of Tremont from the proposed Carrie Nation site at 11 Beacon Street. This space was once the Boston Real Estate Board offices, and UniversalHUB also notes that it would take about a million bucks to turn it into Carrie Nation. Hit up the tipline with any Carrie Nation info of your own.
