Months ago the D.C.-based restaurant chain Sweetgreen, which traffics primarily in salads and froyo, revealed its plans to come to Boston via a Craigslist job posting, and now Chowder says it's on for real. According to the Boston Magazine blog, Sweetgreen will be opening in what was formerly a Ritz Camera shop at 659 Boylston Street sometime this spring. According to a press release, Sweetgreen has 13 locations in the D.C. area and is also headed to NYC. They go for local and organic ingredients and serve dishes as wraps, grain bowls, or salads. For instance, there's the spicy sabzi option, which includes baby spinach, quinoa, broccoli, carrots, beets, basil, sprouts and tofu with carrot-chili vinaigrette and Sriracha.
