The owners of the upcoming Financial District restaurant Sterling's tell Eater they're now hoping to open in mid-December. Sterling's comes from Paul Wilson and Travis Talbot of the Glynn Hospitality Group, which owns eight local venues, having recently added Granary Tavern and closed The Purple Shamrock. Wilson and Talbot have agreed to share a behind-the-scenes look into Sterling's as the opening approaches, including the above image, which represents what Talbot calls "the starting point."
Look carefully for a glimpse of the patio and a peek at the floorplan. Talbot and Wilson currently "have drawings in front of us, we have permits in place, contractors confirmed, design is complete - so now it's the action items like menu development, hiring, trainings, managing trades, buying furniture, getting dirty on the site, etc." He says that as of today they are "officially starting to hammer nails and moving forward (at breakneck pace) on construction."
