The Mooring, a proposed floating restaurant off East Boston, hopes to open by "next season" with seating for 350. The Boston Business Journal shares that information and solves the riddle of how to reach a floating restaurant. "By water taxi and by their own small craft," says the BBJ. The East Boston Times-Free Press notes that The Mooring could be a hit with boat owners who can tie up for free and thereby take a pass on docking fees at non-floating waterfront restaurants. It would also be a hit because it would be, um, a floating restaurant.
Update: This post was updated to change the name of the venue from The Moorings to The Mooring, as first reported.
