Seaport District newcomer 75 on Liberty Wharf opens today on Northern Ave near Legal Test Kitchen and Del Frisco's. The restaurant, which comes from the folks who run this really friendly little neighborhood bar called Cheers, began its conceptual life as Little Chestnut Boston Harbor before being renamed and is a spinoff of 75 Chestnut in Beacon Hill. An early incarnation of the menu showed hearty New England fare like clam chowder ("herbed," thankfully), seafood, burgers, chops, tips and pasta plus brunch. News of the opening comes via Facebook, and Boston Restaurant Talk notes that 75 on Liberty Wharf is expected to seat only 60: the space was previously referred to as a former kiosk.
Update: 75 on Liberty Wharf opens at noon.
Update Update: 75 on Liberty Wharf has 35 seats.
