Rumors that the South End Mexican restaurant El Centro would be opening a second location in Brookline are true, says Boston.com. An article from earlier today says that the owner of El Centro "is buying the existing Tashi Delek Indian [Tibetan, actually] restaurant at 236 Washington St. and will convert it into another El Centro" this one with 26 seats. The new El Centro lease begins in November but the owner's attorney said "it could be until mid December" before the necessary approvals are in. Stay tuned and hit up the tipline with any further updates.
