Remember how Fenway Park chef Steve "Nookie" Postal previously told Eater that he plans to open a restaurant in Cambridge and in NYC? His Cambridge restaurant is now materializing. The Boston Business Journal reports that Nookie plans to open a 6,500 square-foot restaurant called Commonwealth on the first floor of the still-in-construction Watermark II apartment tower off Third Street in East Cambridge. The BBJ says that Nookie pitched the concept at a neighborhood meeting last week, saying "It will be a farm-to-table restaurant where you can create your own menu" with "large tables and family-style dining" and a market that may be along the lines of City Feed and Supply in JP. Nookie also almost won in the first season of Bravo's Around the World in 80 Plates. Expect a fall 2013 opening for Commonwealth.
