Boston's such a great food city, but there just aren't any coffeeshops from Kazakhstan. Not so! Ten days ago 4A Coffee opened its second location on Harvard Street in Brookline; it's first is in Almaty, Kazakhstan. A post on Chowhound noticed 4A had popped up near Dok Bua Thai Restaurant and 4A tells Eater that it serves coffee and sells coffee beans roasted in-house plus pastries from a Japanese bakery. According to the company's website, 4A started in Almaty in 2005. In its own words, 4A says "We believe that coffee and its evolving traditions are a rite of contemporary life and activity and, as such, we labor to evoke the magic of its truly complex and mysterious nature."
