The Brazilian steakhouse chain Fogo de Chao has shared an opening date for its very first Boston location: Friday, November 2. According to its website, Fogo de Chao opens for dinner then in the Westin Copley Place and begins serving lunch the following Monday, November 5. The Herald adds that the restaurant will have 320 seats and is part of "an $8 million build-out" that includes "a 3,000-bottle wine cellar and six private dining options." Here's how eating at Fogo de Chao works: there's a bar of salads and sides, including meat of course, and beyond that you keep flipping a card from green to red depending on whether you want tableside servers to stop or go with their deliveries of meat. The chain has locations throughout the U.S. and Brazil, and until now, the closest was in Philly. How are you feeling about the Boston arrival? Comment away.
