On Friday Eater posted a poll for your favorite of 25 upcoming fall restaurant openings, and the results are in. The list encompassed a diverse swath of venues, from the international chain Pret a Manger, headed for Back Bay, to the restaurant-within-a-restaurant Bogie's Place, coming to jm Curley in Downtown Crossing. In the end, the vote came down to three finalists: the Harvard Square expansion of Tasty Burger, Will Gilson's Inman Square restaurant Puritan & Co., and Sterling's, bound for the Financial District from the team that recently opened Granary Tavern. And the winner is...
Sterlings! Sterling's hails from the Glynn Hospitality Group, which recently shuttered The Purple Shamrock and also runs Dillon's and The Black Rose. Though it has yet to share an opening date, Sterling's is closing in. The restaurant recently posted an update on Facebook, saying "Kitchen layout - confirmed. Construction plans - confirmed. Menu concept - confirmed." Also per Facebook, that cofirmed menu might include a pumpkin chai martini, beef wellington, and fish n' chips. And here's one possible indication of an opening: Sterling's is hosting a sponsored event on October 24.
