First Printer will open in Harvard Square this Saturday, says UrbanDaddy, who features a slideshow of the new space here. The restaurant has been in the works for over two years, when it began transitioning from Herrel's Ice Cream to the handsome, frog leg-serving space you'll soon find. Boston Restaurant Talk says the menu will also include lobster hush puppies, clam chowder, burgers, hot dogs, and regional Southern specialties like fried alligator and crawfish. There will be a full bar serving craft beer and cocktails like the Printer’s Punch, made with with bourbon, rum, freshly squeezed citrus and vinho verde. Chef-owner Kurt Vogel has previously served as executive chef at the Cask 'n Flagon and Durgin Park .
