Amsterdam Falafelshop May Take Over Diva Lounge

The DC-based Amsterdam Falafelshop may be moving into the Diva Lounge space in Davis Square. The eatery, which as the name suggests serves Middle Eastern fare as appropriated by the Netherlands, announced plans to open a franchise in Boston last summer, and Boston Restaurant Talk caught wind on Chowhound that the shop is eyeing the Somerville location. The shop's website lists only one other location in DC's Adams Morgan neighborhood and also suggests that falafel and french fries are natural stress relievers, saying "We have Dutch-style Frieten with the crispiest crunch and dipping sauces that will take away the stress of any day" and "join us for a little trip to Amsterdam in the middle of your hectic life!"
