Earlier this month Eater brought you rumors of a new French restaurant coming to Kendall Square, and now Chowder has confirmed its identity. West Bridge will be a joint venture by chef Matthew Gaudet and general manager Alexis Gelburd-Kimler, who both hail from the South End's Aquitaine Bistro. Chowder reports that, like all new French restaurants, West Bridge will not be straight-up French but rather "a mix of contemporary European cuisine and more New England-derived fare." For instance, duck breast with hibiscus beet vinaigrette, black rice and rainbow carrots. West Bridge plans to open this spring.
