Virtual Restaurant Guides Swarm on Boston

Online restaurants guides and apps are multiplying like wet Gremlins and show no signs of slowing down. Today BostonInnovation shared news of the expansion of the Chefs Feed app to Boston, which offers recommendation from 25 local chefs who each chime in about five favorite dishes at five different restaurants. BostonInno points out that "the chefs involved are a literal who's who of the Boston dining scene" including Jody Adams, Jasper White, Tony Maws and Jamie Bissonnette. What does Chef Michael Scelfo of Russell House Tavern recommend at The Gallows? The "out of control" poutine.

Yesterday LivingSocial's Gourmet announced plans to cover Boston starting in 2012 and the Boston Business Journal ran a story profiling eight different food guide startups and a video breakdown explaining differences between resources like Taste Good, Pintely, and Exit 41. The video also includes thrilling footage of a computer using these services.
