Last night the new Julep Bar had its soft opening in the Financial District, and the retro, loungey spot has announced December 2nd as the official opening date. Julep Bar has also shared its full food and drink menus with Eater as well as some actual photos, in case you were getting tired of the concept design image that was all we'd seen until down.
The wine list is short and sweet, beers are divided into local (Cisco) small batch (Clipper City) and drafts (Goose Island), and cocktails are clearly the draw. The paloma combines tequila, fresh grapefruit soda, lime and salt, the champagne bowler mixes three grape products - cognac, white wine, sparkling wine - and fresh strawberries. Bites include freshly fried barbecue potato chips with bacon blue cheese dip and duck fat fries with smoked Gouda. Fried + cheese = hard to go wrong.
Where the magic happens.
No duck fat dribbles on these couches... yet.
Come in, we've been expecting Ju.
