Beacon Hill is rumored to receive two new dining/licking spots: Griddler's Burgers and Dogs and J.P. Licks. Boston Restaurant Talk reports that Griddler's is planning to open in the space where The Federal stood until earlier this fall. According to their website, the eatery will be opening roughly one year from now, which is all the website says for now.
BRT shares a hot tip from a local real estate agent that J.P. Licks has signed a lease for a new location on Charles Street. The ice creamery already has several locations sprinkled (get it, sprinkled?) throughout the city, including their flagship in JP and in West Roxbury, Brookline, Somerville, Cambridge, in Mission Hill and on Newbury Street. No word yet as to when they plan to open, but judging from previous expansions we can expect a pleasant atmosphere dominated by cow motifs, cheery service, free samples, and a water bubbler in the corner.
