The increasingly popular pop-up restaurant is this biggest thing in impermanent eateries since the food truck. Newbury College is now getting in on the act with their own pop-up, which will serve upscale versions of college cafeteria food that your body won't try to reject as quickly as the real thing. A team of Newbury culinary arts students led by pop-up veteran Will Gilson will top braised buffalo wing taquitos with local Great Hill Blue cheese, turn mac n' cheese into a prosciutto and fig laced pop-(up?)tart and serve pine nut butter and jelly sandwiches, which, if you say it out loud, sounds like you're just saying "peanut butter and jelly sandwiches" with a Southern drawl. The restaurant will have roughly the lifespan of a fruit fly and will be open only on December 12th.
