Pulse Cafe Closes, Baker May Open New Vegan Bakery

Pulse Cafe in Somerville's Davis Square is officially closed. The vegan restaurant had morphed from Vej Naturals in Malden and opened in 2010 where Joey's Thai Cafe once stood to serve what the owner called "vegan comfort food." Recipes for items like mushroom gravy and tempeh reuben will live on in the land of the undead that is the internet, and their baker is considering opening a new vegan bakery. In a blog post they write "i'm talking with another well known, amazing vegan baker in the greater boston area about opening up a 'real' bakery here! it's really exciting, we'll see what happens!"
