The Boston.com blog TNGG (The Next Great Generation) published a list of five "Harvard Square Bars for True Locals" including Charlie's Kitchen, Whitney's Cafe, Shays Pub & Wine Bar, Grendel's Den, and Russell House Tavern, the newest of the list. The post does not share its criteria for defining a "true local" hangout, though it does describe the square as home to "some of the most interesting homeless people." [Boston.com]
