Descent in W Hotel May Open Today

Rumor has it that Descent, a subterranean nightclub at the W Hotel Boston in the Theater District, is opening soon. Today, in fact. That's what Adam's Hospitality and Tourism Industry Blog reports, anyway. Thrillist describes the new spot as "eliciting a speakeasy-to-the-people-with-expensive-shoes vibe," and the space was originally rumored to open last the summer, then in October, so at the risk of pulling a Harold Camping we can't say for sure that today is the day, but that's the word on the street. The W is also home to Market by Jean-Georges Vongerichten.
