The Legendary Restaurant Group has shared a few details about two restaurants planned for the new Assembly Row complex in Somerville. The site will be home to restaurants, retail, housing, offices and a movie theater: in the words of Curbed Boston, "Basically, if everything goes according to plan, a mini-city will erupt." The restaurant group, which also runs Tavern on the Water and Andiamo, says they have signed a lease for a space at the new complex's entrance where they plan to open a burger joint called Burger Dive. The exact opening date depends on construction, but they aim to be flipping patties by "sometime during the first or second quarter of next year."
The same group also hopes to open a second location of their Waterfront Mexican restaurant Papagayo in Assembly Row, though they can't yet confirm whether it will be in Somerville or elsewhere. If a new Papagayo were to pop up at Assembly Row, LRG predicts an opening roughly one year after the appearance of Burger Dive.
